Default Sorry silly question, FJ & T4R compatible parts with the GX...??

I keep reading comments about the wonderful compatibility and how the GX is build on the same platform (besides the prado that is a big seller all over the world)..

Anybody ever made a list of the cross reference parts..??

I've never seen a list like that, but the GX470 is mechanically identical to a 4th gen 4Runner V8 Ltd. You can use www.t o y o d i y.com to cross reference part #'s for yourself and see what other models they are compatible with.

Thanks Ian great place to start,

I was thinking more "Aftermarket" but hey if it fits one, may fit the other one..

Note: for example with my big GS motorcycles, many, many parts are exactly the same (even car parts you can buy on autozone are interchangeable) but the part numbers are different (like brake pads that can have a different SKU even if they fit 100's of different calipers..

This is the reason why I was asking for a "Cross reference" list that can only be gather with years of hands on experience..

Well that website can tell you if something like a breakpad is a common part across multiple models for OEM parts. For aftermarket mechanical stuff most things that work for the 4Runner model mentioned above are a direct crossover, the only thing to watch out for is things like sliders designed for a 4Runner or FJC and the optional KDSS system available on GX's can be a no-go.

Wow cool, Motorcycle manufactures can be so mysterious..

I just wish the bumpers fit, so many creative choices for the T4R (I'm a decent MIG Welder and very stubborn with grinders until I get a plasma cutter someday), sadly just for looks, my toy trashing days are over..

Thanks for the great news.
