Default GX470 lift points

Hi, has anyone worked on the GX470 using a lift before, I am trying to determine the picture vs actual spot on the frame.
I know the front should be the same spot you put jackstand too, is this where you put the your jackstand normally.

The rear lift location is a little harder to understand, I think it is referring to the spot just before the 4 link bracket. Using those points should be fairly equal distance from the wheels.

The circled spots are right where I lift mine while working on it on my lifts at work.

I don't have a lift but the circled spots are where I lift using my floor jack at home.

You lift it just before the lower control arm bracket

I think its a circular hole In the sheet metal of the skid plate.. right in the center ,
I would feel more comfortable removing first but I think you were meant to put a jack there right on the skid plate..?

I would like to know as well for sure.

I don't have a pic, but there's a stamped steel circle shape on the skidplate under/behind the engine showing where the crossmember is, this is the front jacking point for if you want to put jackstands under the front frame rails.

True. Unless you're replacing a motor mount or something, in which case it's "supporting" the engine, not jacking the car up by it.

I actually removed the skidplate and placed the included jack under the crossmember shown in the diagram and it put a good size indention in the crossmember. Very disappointing. I hope I didn't f anything up. Does anyone know on this forum know where to pick this thing up without damaging it?

^^
you are suppose to put the jack under the front diff, not there
front diff is the silver housing where the axle goes into.
keep the skid plate on is actually safer for it.
