Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Viper VSS5000 SmartStart System. I want to install one In my 2007 GX470. Two reasons, push to start instead of key and remote start. However, I do not feel 100% comfortable due to all these systems are after market, or I am mistaken? Anyway, if someone could help me to make my decision to get one or not to get one or to go with something else? Thank you in advance for your time and response!!!

I talked to Viper at length and they sold me model 4204v and assured me it was best for 2007 GX. They also sold me some other thing called Xpresskit Optimaxx. It's some sort of module that facilitates everything? All in it was like $450 or so. I never installed it but I did spend some time on phone with the rep and he assured me for our year it was the one to get. It is a smartstart version so it works with your phone as well. Good luck.

Thank you Joe. Just want to clarify, system has a push to start as well as remote start, correct? Also, you said you never installed it, may I ask why?
