Yes it was easy to change both bulb from underneath without jacking the car up. Bought the Sylvania for $6 a piece from walmart. light works.
By the way, I changed the differential oil, rear, transfercase and front, guess what the front ones was very dirty, and somehow only a quart came out, replaced it with 1 1/2 quart... hmmm.

No leaks, and after I put it yesterday, not a drop leak.
I will monitor this and will see how it goes, I will change it again after a week and measure what I put in there. 1 1/2 QT.
I dont mind doing, since it was very dirty, compared to TC and Rear Diff.

RC,
Just did the complete flush of brake fluid, little tricky than the usual flush. It can be easily done without jacking up the truck. I ended up using 2 Valvoline synthetic dot 3 4 they were each 32 ounce, total of 64oz
I have a question, I saw you change the diff lock bulb to red. Today I notice there is NO light coming from the switch, when I turn the lights on. I think the bulb is fused behind it.
1. How did you pull the switch out to change the bulb? Is it supposed to be lit?
2, Where did you get Lexus yellow glass capsules?
I think you used Neo X led bulb 3mm t-1 RED.
Thanks

- I used a plastic trim panel remover and popped the switch out from the top.
You can also use a flat head screwdriver, just be careful. And yes, it's supposed to be lit.

- HIDPLANET.com. There's a member that gets a hold of these from time to time.

- Yep, Neo-Wedge 3mm.
Thanks

EDIT:
Did a search on HIDPLANET and here's the link to the sellers thread:

I found one of my old threads on there from 2007 where I put them in my MDX, I forgot all about that. Pictures were lost when photobuckets site went down years ago and I never backed them up.

I changed the front diff oil this evening and it was fairly clean, it had a dark amber color to it as did the transfer case oil. The rear diff was the worse, it was very dark in color.

Thanks for taking the time to get detailed pics and links!
For your license plate lights, you used:
License Plate (194 Base)
• VLEDs : 5000K / pure white
Is there any reason you used the VLEDs for those, instead of the Phillips you used in the parking lights and running boards? Do you think the Phillips would work?
Did you have to remove the interior panel from the "Barn Door" to replace these?

Our reverse bulbs are put in at an angle. High powered LEDs (2W+) are put at the tip of the bulb so you wouldn't get the full power of the LED. You could try those tower type LEDs but I doubt they will be better than stock.

Hi guys I just joined this site a couple of days ago. I have a 2003 GX470 that is in near perfect condition.
I would love to upgrade to the LED lights and will be doing so soon....
Can you put LED lights behind the instrument cluster to make it brighter too? Thanks for the input.
