Default Rear suspension Air bag replacement

Replacing my rear suspension air bags. I understand the concept of conventional springs but like the ride and height adjustment when hauling my boat. My question is are there any secrets to removing these and replacing them. I have new original equipment parts coming and wanted to see if any suggestions are available before I tackle this job. Thank you in advance for you inputs.

Took my mechanic 15 minutes to take both rear air bags out, there is a retaining clip that hold them on the top that is only accessible from the space between the wheel well. My air lines were rusted to the air bag and were cut to remove, which was fine because I went with springs. Not sure if the new bags come with lines, this would be the only tricky part. After jacking up the rear end and manually deflating the bags they just slipped out. Be sure to either pull the fuse or press air ride system off on the console.

So, my question i would like to add is for those who have converted to the coil springs, is how different the ride quality is?

I love the air springs too and how smooth they are, but when they go south i may just convert for cost reasons.

Now what i really wish was out there was a panel to fill the hole of where the suspension controls are, because that would drive me nuts to have those there without being functional!

Ride quality is just fine, I can't notice the difference. There is a part# for a blank for the ride height in toyota120 forum. If I find it I will post. I know Sewell had them.

For the GX guys who replaced the airbags with springs, did you delete all the sensors/etc?

I remember seeing someone had a little pocket to replace the shock settings/height controls. The pocket was perfect size for a phone or iPod type device to fit in. But you'd have to lose the shock firmness controls a well since it's all one piece. Sorry I don't have part# or links

I found them: Apparently there are two styles!
