Default Removing subwoofer grill

So have I have solved all my problems on this forum myself. Thanks to all that helped out. Now is there anyway to remove the subwoofer grill without taking out the whole panel on a 03 GX 470?? I think it's just ripped and might be able to fix it with some nailpolish.

I just took mine off and put it back together again. There's no way to remove the grill from the front and the woofer is somewhat offset, so you would likely not be able to repair it in place. To save you some time, here is the part number you need to re-foam the suround: FSK-6BT-1 available from SimplySpeakers.com.

The cost is $20 and fits perfectly, but the outer edge needs to be cut down to half the width, as the recessed basket prevents it from fitting. I just used a pen to mark all the way around it and a pair of scissors to trim it down. Turn out great and sounds good as new.

This issue is very frustrating for me. I'm trying to replace the sub on a LX 470 without costing a million dollars.

If you chose to repair it, I'm pretty sure the link above was for an LX as well.

I refoamed my 2GS with the kit from simply speakers, sounds brand new.
I thought about switching the sub with the aftermarket one, etc but I figured the extra $$ will be spent elsewhere as the sub fix cost me like 20$, and about 2 hours. I read someone dapped in some hot glue to fix the foam, just removing the grill only but I think that's just a band aid fix. My old foam was a toast, all the way around.
