Have dug through but didn't see anyone who specifically did this (yet--feel free to link to a thread if this is already addressed).

Understand the limitations with all of the other controls integrated into the screen. Nav is basically worthless these days with live apps on your phone. I'm trying to replace this system with something that is Apple CarPlay compatible. Have found an Android one that looks like the Tesla setup but we all have Apple phones. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, we a 2004 version already so I would likely be doing this twice. The 04 is really the family vehicle and the 03 will become my ski and mountain bike vehicle.

Best place to find info is the GXOR Facebook group. In short, you need the non-nav headunit and some trim pieces along with matching up wiring to install and aftermarket unit. you will have different climate controls.

Thanks. I joined that group. Whole lotta modding going on there! Eventually, I'll do a lift and all but I want to start by dumping that useless nav system
