Backlighting on instrument panel...
The backlighting on my instrument cluster is dim behind the 10mph area and bright everywhere else. There is a light bulb or LED burned out. On most cars you can just replace a bulb back there. Is this possible on the GX470?
I can not find the part number anywhere. |
I have the same issue and the dealer told me you have to replace the whole instrument panel to the tune of about $900 (if i remember correctly). I have just gotten used to it.

I'll be shocked if Lexus is an exception. |
I finally got around to taking out the dash, and it is true, our instrument cluster is backlit by LED's and we are unable to replace just one of them.

That's a real bummer. I have the same problem and this is the first post actually stating that. Thanks for the info. If you find a fix, please post!

We repair all GX and LX clusters and can repair any lighting issues you have with them. Please shoot me a PM for pricing.

What a bummer. Now I need to decide if I can live with it or not... Cheers, Kermee |
Well as I am EE i can replaced one by one just use solder. If you can post a picture i can tell if that possible or not. Try to chat to electronic tech / eng. I will not pay $900 for the new one, it is totally BS
