For me it's not the work. I can do it. It's just the cost for parts.

I think they are trying to squeeze some cash out of me. Hey claim all 4 shocks are bottoming out. $3000 to replace. $1500 for parts and $1500 for labor. Not gonna replace them yet. I need to do some more research on it. Has anyone replaced them before? I've replace conventional shocks and struts before but these electronic controlled shocks.
2OnyxLexus,

Do you know what the height sensor parts look like? Is it possible to take a picture of the sensor?

Thanks.

redrocks,

Sensor part numbers are 89407-60022 (right rear sensor) & 89408-60011 (left rear sensor).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-GX-470...sories&vxp=mtr

This is a link for the part on Ebay. It includes a picture. I hope this helps.

this is interesting, a member here on clublexus did this to fix the airbag/sensor problem for good but he didn't give details: someone call a mod to help us out

"I swap out my rear air bags for coils and have two height sensors laying around."

hmm???? interesting

2003-2009 Lexus GX 470 Rear Air Suspension Conversion Kit

this replaces the airbags/sensors so it's a permanent fix - cost is $400 for the kit rear end, nice ha?

WOW the rear struts are $461 per side and the airbargs are $198 per side, and the front shocks are $231 per side. Thats almost $1800 not including tax or shipping...thats insane for a stock setup!? Man I miss my Bilstein 5100s on my Tundra.

For that price Id buy this: http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72

Its not as easy as ripping out the airbags and adding coil springs. From what Ive read and seen pictures of, you need to fab up or buy some brackets to keep the springs seated where the airbags were.

See post #45: http://forum.ih8mud.com/120-series-t...3-gx470-3.html
