I am soooo glad and truly grateful for all the help I have received on this forum. I decided to go with the Bridgestone and I'm happy I did I live in New Jersey and we just had a snowstorm...yes in October...some areas had 16 inches. I was prepared and felt safe with my new tires.

Thanks again to everyone xo

Just recently put some Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor on our '07. Ready for a little trail ride now.

For reference. I had the Goodyear Fortera "Triple Tread" on my previous Jeep hemi. One of the more expensive tires. Wasn't worried about overall mileage. Wanted a tire that would stick to wet roads, ice and snow. I have to go out in the most extreme weather. Punch the throttle on wet roads and it would snap you head back. You felt like you were always in contact with the road. They are rated a 10, (10 being the best) for water, ice, and snow. Only a (9) on noise. in my opinion, they were noisy on the highway, at 65 or 70 mph and that bothered me.

The Michellins are much quieter. Premium tire. It is nice to save money, but there are things that you should cut corners on and tires are one of them. Tires and brakes!

I actually can't stand regular tires on the GX - just too much soccermom styling for me.

I run 285 AT tires and it runs very smoothly, though you will take a hit on the mpg side due to the heavier duty tread. But it looks so proper and aggressive you just can't go back to regular tread. It'll do better in all weather conditions and terrain.

Pirelli scorpians are tires that ive had god experience with, but i do not have them on a gx (have them on an lx) they are a good price and look good to and are the same as the michelin ats a/t's they replaces just a little stiffer ride
