My original lock motors (all five doors) are still working since cleaning the armature in them for 2.5 years now.
I'm not sure on GS model.
I bet they are the same but someone more experienced will answer your question soon.

eBay description states ROUND shaft in bold print. GX requires a 'D' (round shaft with a flat area.)
The number on the motor shown in mbenz80's post does not turn up anything on Google. Somewhere out there is a warehouse FULL of these GX lock motors!
Who is going to find them????

Yes. Look closely at the pic above and you can see the flat.

There was a seller on Amazon selling this same motor with a flat shaft. I'm guessing he put the flat on himself as this model # is for a round shaft motor. Tons of these with round shafts are available. Worth a try filing a flat on, if they are the right physical size for the GX.

Mabuchi part # FC-280PC-22125

I ordered some of those replacement motors from ebay. They came but without the notch to fit into the sleeve that rotates that wheel inside the unit. So I did everything here, cleaned it and used the existing motor. I can hear it working or trying to anyway, but I can't open the door. Is there a way to get to the cables to open the door from the inside?

Just finished replacing the door lock motor for the actuator in the back cargo door on my 2005 GX470. Out of all the threads and write-ups I found on the nets, this one was the most helpful so I had to join up and say thanks.

The motor I used I bought off ebay from Zinky86 (LINK to their ebay user). The title of the auction was "10mm Flat Shaft FC-280PC-22125". I had previously bought them for replacing the ones on my LX470 when they started to fail and turns out these were the exact same ones.

Took me about 10 minutes total to pop open the plastic actuator and get that little motor out and the new one in. Then another 5 mins to put everything back together in the rig. The part I actually struggled a bit with was getting the actuator out of the door....cause my back cargo door lock was stuck in the locked position with the door closed...so I couldn't open the door to get to the three screws holding the actuator in place from the outside edge of the door. Pulling all the interior paneling off was a piece of cake though. I fiddled with the actuator a bunch several times trying to get it to open, all with no luck. I was beginning to think I was going to have to destroy it in order to get it out and get the door open. Finally, out of desperation and frustration, I gave the actuator a good few whacks with the end of my mag-lite flashlight, and tried the unlock button on my key again and--Voila!!--it unlocked and I could open the door! I then was able to easily remove the three screws and the wire connector, and then pull out the actuator and disconnect the cable. The rest was easy.

Anyway, thanks again, and hopefully some of my added info may be useful to others in the future.
