Unhappy Where to purchase 2003 GX 470 Rear Bumper for good price

Hello Fellas!

I rear ended (right side) while backing up and the bumper has got crushed from that side inwards. I was thinking of replacing the bumper but dont want to get it from the dealership cos they will rip me off. What suggestions do you have for me in terms of getting bumper replaced(or repaired)--where to purchase?.I checked with the mechanic and he wasn't very positive about repairing it because he mentioned that the paint might peel off after some time or it can show cracks etc since its synthetic(plastic type)....
I'm in West Canada btw.
I'd really appreciate your suggestions and advices!!

Same thing happened to my GX in Feb, the local body shop ordered re-conditioned bumper and repainted it, looks like new after it's done.
I was told the new part from Lexus will costs a couple hundred dollars more, and won't be much better. I paid $640.
I think that's the best route to go.

$640 for re-conditioned bumper is way too much. I paid for brand new bumper from the dealer $300, and $250 for the paint.

Call the dealer first, sometimes you will be suprised that the dealer is actually cheaper then after market. Also after your bumper is painted ask for left over paint, you can use it for touch ups.

Thanks guys for all your replies and suggestions. I called Local Lexus dealer and they quoted me a price of CDN$394 for the bumper without paint. Now I will look for some local dealers who can install and paint the bumper. So I guess it should cost me another CDN$200 to install ( that's just my guess)

$640 that I paid included labor. part and painting, just dropped off the car and picked up a day later. I guest I could save a bit if I could take off the bumper and reinstall after painting, but I am not good at that.
