I'm curious about how others use the adjustable shock setting: whether you adjust it regularily based on road conditions or your mood, or whether you usually keep it at one setting, and if so which one. So I'd like to take a poll. If you'd like to participate, post a response as follows:

If you adjust the settings all the time, say 'adjust it'.

If you usually keep it at the same setting, say 'keep it'. And then let me know what setting you prefer. If Comfort is at 11 o'clock and full Sport is at 2 o'clock, let me know if you like the setting at 11, 12, 1, or 2. That's it!

As for me, I usually keep it at 1.

 

Honestly I dont feel any difference. So I would say keep it.

 

Around town, 1 o'clock. Road trips, 12 o'clock. I think you can immediately tell a difference.

 

12 for the vast majority of time (looks like the default position) ... the downside to this setting is when I'm heavy on the brakes, the nose dives big time and snowplows

2 for freeway speeds and taking big bumps / dips at slow speed ... surprising to see the firmest setting is the most comfortable for the bumps / dips

I definitely feel the difference. Not a big difference at normal and highway speeds. Big difference on the bumps / dips.

 

Honestly 12 or 1 would be the ideal setting , As the extremes of 11 and 2 has not made any difference at all. I would say.

 

At first I thought there was no difference. Then I started paying attention to the setting when driving the same route to work. There is quite a difference in the settings in my opinion. I find it the most in the impact harness of expansion joints or frost breaks in the pavment. I prefer 1 or 2 o'clock at all times (or 3 and 4 in the manual). I dial it down to 11(1) for corduroy or some unpaved road driving. 11 (1) just takes away the harshness. When I carry a 1000 pounds of outdoor gear it is on 2 (4)all the time to prevent float and help in cornering. In deep snow I use the 11(1) all the time.

Love them but not looking to the day when they need to be replaced. I find the handling and impact harshness significant. Handling for spirited driving is more secure the firmer the setting even with KDSS. One step jumps are subtle. Do two.

 

How does exactly this shock setting works, are they become more firm?
