Low cost iPod adapter for factory head unit

This seems like a great low cost ($50) option http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...fAudioQ5fVideo - but it is listed for non-nav GX470s - anyone with experience adding iPod support for a nav GX470 (we have a 2005)?

please let me know if you find an answer. I have a 2005 with nav as well and I want to do the same thing without spending 300 for the vais system. Thanks!
