Anybody using Lockpick with NAV DVD 9.1?

I seem to remember seeing a post where a member used an old DVD to "roll back" the nav system while maintaing the new maps, etc. Anyone know where that link is?
It was quite an involved process but it worked...I think!

Sorry to be bumping an old post but are these update DVDs all that worth it? Are updated maps all that you are getting? I've always thought that the '03 vintage nav is archaic-looking (like the stick-figure or cave painting era of navigation).

I agree. I have the original disc from 04 and it is pretty acurate, however I wish there was a way to get the updated "look" of the newer version with better icons etc.. I'm guessing there isn't.

okey, here some info i know (tested) by me.
Gen 2/3 ver.10.1 have override function (screen tapping)
Gen 4 ver.10.1 can't be done yet ( I have tried hybrid 5.1(loading files) with 9.1 or 10.1 maps.) no go.
Gen 5 ver. 10.1 ( hybrid 5.1/ 9.1 or 10.1 maps) working fine.

Wait - so are you saying the latest DVD for the Gen 5 NAV system (on my '07 GX) would enable the override function in addition to updated maps?

2. Remember reading about such upgrade in the GS, RX , LX forums, some time back. There is a wealth of information in those threads that discuss about the upgrade including photos and other useful tips.
