Installed Michelin LTX AT2 tires...
Much better than the factory Dunlops... They were pretty well worn out at 33K, so we stepped up and bought the Michelins... went with a slightly more aggressive tread than the factory tread, as we live on a dirt road and have to go up and down hills to get from our house back to the main road... last winter, the Dunlops were next to useless in the snow... So far, gas mileage has not suffered, slightly more road noise, suspensions seems stiffer (stiffer side walls?) which is more to my liking anyway... not as much lean in curves.... I give them

Thus far I am quite pleased with them... truck drives much better, less "squishy"... on the other hand, if you prefer the typical "Lexus" comfortable ride, you may find these to be harsher... By comparison, my daily driver is a BMW, I'm used to (and prefer) a stiffer ride... These tires bring the GX more in line with that type of ride... Traction-wise, they seem to do a good job, they've been picking up and flinging gravel from our gravel road all over the place...

Ok Gman thanks any way. Looks like it might be a good choice for a GX.
The Latitude Tour HP is Michelin's Highway All-Season light truck tire developed for the drivers of premium crossover and sport utility vehicles. Used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on Acura, BMW, Lexus and others, Latitude Tour HP tires were designed to combine enhanced durability with confidence in virtually any type of weather, including in light snow.
The Latitude Tour HP features a fuel-efficient tire shape with an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern that helps balance dry, wet and winter time traction. Stable shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib boost responsiveness and highway stability, while wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning and 2-D Active Sipes improve handling in rain and snow. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spiral-wrapped aramid/nylon filaments under the tread area to provide a stable feel and crisp steering, while polyester cord reinforced sidewalls enhance ride quality.

There's a new Latitude Tour (not LT HP) that will begin shipping from Michelin in August/September timeframe is intended to be a bit of an improvment over the (excellent IMO) Cross Terrain that it will begin replacing at that time. The new Latitude Tour is designed to be a little better in terms of how MOST SUV/Crossover owners use their vehicles -- a little quieter (CT's are VERY quiet, so this will be an accomplishment) a little smoother (ditto), and a little better wet traction. Off road type capability (CT obviously has very little to begin with) is slightly diminished vs. CT. Most CT sizes will be phased out, but some sizes (including the OEM size for the GX) will be retained for a few more years.

Still quite happy with these tires... MAJOR improvement over the stock Dunlops... I've never experienced such a radical change in the temperment of a vehicle with just this simple change... Every corner used to annoy me, the way the GX would flop around... no more... its not a race car by any means but feels much more secure...
