Doesnt it depend on what year your GX is?

why would the year depend? couldn't or shouldn't you just be able to popin the latest version of the navigation cd to get all the updates on your navigation read out?

just for the record i have a 2004, would the latest version be compatable with my GX?

Thanks
Dan

I think you can buy nav software update regardless of what gen nav you have.

Does the latest version get rid of the "I Agree" button on '07 and previous models?

I believe the updated maps are the same, but the disks may be different for different nav model generations.

I received a postcard from Lexus saying a new version just came out.

Does anybody know if upgrading to the newer disk will erase my memory points?

1. The G Man is correct- 7.1 is the latest version
2. I recently upgraded my software to 7.1 on my 06 and it did not erase my memory points.

My understanding is that 7.1 is the latest but you can no longer use the hybrid method of creating a 5.1/7.1 disc that will have the latest maps and still support the override menu option.

Unless something has changed I'm currently sticking with my 5.1/6.1 hybrid disc.

7.1 is the latest, tried the hybrid method and it no longer works and also doesn't get rid of the I agree on the older gen navs - 06 and older you still have to press the button. PM if you want more info on where to get 7.1.

I would be interested in knowing which is the latest version for my 2005 and where to get one a little less expensive than the dealership?

Thank you!

Sewell is a CL vendor and sells the DVD online:

http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/

I see they have some kind of special discount code and rebate. There should also be a CL discount code (somebody jump in here), but I don't know if you can combine discounts.

My NJ dealer once listed as a benefit of buying through them that you are a member of their "club" and entitled to a 10% parts discount - I've never tried to actually get that discount but I have to think it would apply here.

Where did you buy your GX and what does the dealer want for the DVD? Does it include installation?
