I'd prefer to see the 4Runner with a DI version of the 4.7 for a bit over 300hp. The pathfinder is really getting too huge, I hope Toyota doesn't follow.

Agreed. Keep the off-road ability, Improve the on-road ability. If anything, with the 5.7 it will be faster than the Range sport. It weighs less, and if the Tundra can pull 0-60 in 6.3 seconds weighing about the same as a Range then......

The other thing to keep in mind is the tremendous price jump from GX to LX. I still think that you get more for your money with the GX.

Performance is perfect, everything now is just bragging rights and I doubt even Luxury car owners are gonna continue to fill up at the pumps with a smile on their face with these new vehicles

From what I have read and just an economic standpoint, and the trend to more fuel efficient vehicles these SUV are gonna take a hit with resale value, I've lost count of all the people I know who traded in SUV cause they could not sell them.

Is it me ... or did Lexus downgrade this model to have only 5 lug wheels, instead of 6 lug. Does that mean, the have decreased the weight of the truck over all??

Humm you are right, but that LX they are showing is a oversea version, it has the side marker lights, the US version doesnt. I read a lot of articles on the 08 LX and none of them mention HID lights, but they did mention it has adaptive headlight and a headlight washer unit.

I've read that the current 4.7L will give way to a new engine based on the new 5.7L, but downsized to something probably around the 4.7 - 5.0L range. I would think the next GX would get that variant.
