Talking overide nav from back seat

according to the manual (05 gx) if your gx has rear entertainment sys; the remote will override the nav while in motion, and one can program with the remote; except that a curser replaces your fingers. If that is the case, there has to be an single touch electronic code for override.
ostensibly, the driver can use the remote to change nav settings while in motion.

That in addition to talking on the phone, drinking coffee, listening to music, and looking for girls
on the sidewalk will make for safer driving.
