The problem is that my TPMS doesn't work properly. Lexus dealer replaced the sensors a few times.

Thank you all for this tip/fix. But I must be a little thick in the head. The instructions on which end of the wire to ground were not that clear to me. However, after trial and error, I found the correct one. Once you cut the blue wire, leave the end hanging out of the plug alone. The other half of the wire, the half that continues up underneath the dash, is the end you want to ground. There is some sort of box mounted underneath the dash on the right side wall that has a metal plate cover. I grounded the wire to a screw holding that plate cover. Whatever you use you should check with a test light to make sure it's a good ground. Not all the metal parts under there will work.

This fellow installed a switch so you can turn off the TPMS system when running wheels without the sensors.
The only difference is the colour of the wire, the connector# is 6 for the 4runner and the GX.
Will post the results.

I have two problems.
Firstly, the engine light on the rx350 (2006, English RHD) came on with the vsc light. I was told it was the bank1 sensor1 and bank2 sensor2. Does anyone know where these are, what are the denso part codes for all four bank sensors and is there a picture or schematic I can follow to change them.
Secondly, I have a problem with the tpms of my gs300 (2006, English RHD). A dashboard light came on, the display said check system, and the triangular warning light came on. I had it checked and was told to replace a sensor. All lights went off, but it came back three days later. I then changes all the sensors which again lasted only three days. I was wondering if I disconnected the tpms light would it take came of all three lights / displays. Or what should I do.

Bank 1, Sensor 1 is probably referring to an oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe coming off the manifold, not a tire sensor. There are 4 oxygen sensors on my GX470. 2 on the left, 2 on the right. You'll have Bank 1, Sensor 1 and 2. The other side will be Bank 2 Sensor 1 and 2. Check elsewhere in this forum for more.

HINTS:

Don't cut the wire right at the connector. Someone may want to reconnect and use the TMPS feature later on.

If a ratchet style crimp tool is not used, solder the crimped lug in addition to crimping.

This is my GX with the mod ready to connect to the ground screw.

I just did this, my TPMS light went from blinking to steadily lit. Was I supposed to disconnect the battery?

I grounded the blue wire to a post behind the kick panel.

Never mind guys, I grounded the plug end. Reading the entire thread I saw someone else had the same issue. Moved the ground to the correct side.

This didn't work for my '07 either. I've tried both ends of the cut blue wire but light still flashing then steady.
