WS Type Automatic transmission used on 2004 and newer. P/N 08886-02305
Indicated by NO dipstick to check fluid and WS sticker on the fill plug, like on a standard transmission. I'm attaching the Toyota TSB.

TO remove the Oil filter you need to remove the front Skid plate, unless you have long and skinny arm that you can remove from inside the engine. Filter is locatded front driver side of engine. Look down and you can see it. The oil drain plug is located under the middle section skid plate. You do NOT need to remove the skid plate. There is a plastic Oval shape cover right under the drain plug. Pop the cover off and you can see the drain plug.

Very simple. Only hard part is access the oil filter from below. The skid plate swing down. There is not enough ground clearance to swing it all the way down to remove it completely. The skid plate have two C shape hook that swing the skid plate down. TO remove it you have to swing it all the way down to unhook it.

You can access the oil filter even without removing the shid plate completely out, but it will make a mess cause the oil will drain down once you losen the filter unless you have a oil pan ready to catch the oil.

I drain amost 7 1/2 quart. Manaual said something like 6.5 qt with filter.
My 06 have 1000 miles on it. Engine just about broken in so I replaced oil with Mobil one.
Even thought the oil filter from a V8 4runner, thundra, etc. Toyota part number is 90015-YZZD3, Toyota use a different P/N for Lexus oil filter P/N 90915-20004. Even thought it say Toyota on the filter there is a little different on top, gasket, basely the top part of the filter is different other than it a direst replacement and it will fit.

What is the difference between the 90915-YZZD3 and 90915-20004 filters? Your sentence above is misworded.

90915-20004 is the old part number Lexus use on there V8 engine. The 90915-YZZD3 is the new part number both used on Toyota and Lexus V8. So if you still have a 90915-20004 on you GX, don't worry the -YZZD3 is the new part number.
