Question on factory "Alloy Wheels" listed as option in brochure: Are these chrome factory wheels which come on vehicle from Japan? Salesman didn't know! But the dealer made chrome wheels available by sending out standard GX470 wheels to be chromed locally for $2000 retail. Probably a better profit margin for them than anything from factory. Your 22" wheels look nice; but my GX is doing alot of off-road work , though I still want it to look as good as possible.

You don't need the dealer to this mod. you can do it your self and save alot of money just call up the store you find in the net and ask them if they got the chrome wheels for the GX470 and how does it cost for the exchange. http://www.capitalwheels.com/store/c...&cat=1&page=14

I think the 22' rim would be better if you plan to push hard around the corners and drive the GX like a sports car, but the GX wasn't design for that. By installing the 22' rims, the ride would be much more bumpy and you will feel every pothole. If one wants a nice handling SUV, the X5 is much more logical choice in my opinion, but to each his own.

No, i have a 2004 (bought last sept) and included tire sensors, which work very well as i had a flat a month after. The little light by the fuel gauge immediately alert me one or more of the tires had low pressure. In fact, the sensor gauge will come on even if yr spare tire was low.

ias, are those giovannis on your gx. I would have to agree that 24s do look sweet, but what did you have to do to the wheel wll to make them functional (the tires). Is it too close for comfort? Another question, when you buy rims, do you buy 4 or 5 (1 spare). It seems that you would need an extra in case of a flat. Probably a stupid question.

The tires fit 100% flush with the fenders. I have zero braking issues...Im in the car business and I tow cars a few times a week with the GX...stops perfect
