Default Noise from both front doors

My GX with SP was purchased in May and currently has 9,000 mi's. At speeds exceeding 65 mph, there is a vibration/ rattle/noise from the front doors. Driving at 55 mph on irregular road surfaces does not elicit the sound. Not temperture dependent. Placing your elbow against the window has no effect. Dealer has pulled both door panels and checked out the windows and placed insulation kits but to no avail. Any advise out there would certainly be appreciated. On long trips, the noise drives you a little batty. Even my cd's don't drown it out.

TIA
Steve

I have an '05, and it doesn't have the noise that you described. However, I'm getting lots of wind noise going over 35 MPH (around the front windows area). I'm thinking it's because the side mirrors are too big, thus creating lots of wind resistance. Can people out there confirm whether this is normal?

Thank you,

Wind noise at over 35 MPH is not normal. As far as I can tell, the mirrors don't cause any kind of detectable noise. I have heard that incorrect installation of the roof rack can cause noise.

Steve,

Check the rack on the roof. The only time I heard rattling, two of the adjustable handles were loose.

Default Good response from dealership

Took technician for test drive on interstate. Predictably above 70 mph, the sound occurred. He worked on the problem all day but no luck. A window runner is now on order but everyone is still guessing.

Thanks for the responses so far

Default Early Success

Technician worked on the problem for 1 & 1/2 days. Placed new window runners ,L & R, and now quiet as a tomb. Once again highly recommend Lexus of Orland (ILL).
