2006 GX470 Changes!!!
-Digital Lexus Link will be a new option.
-4 coat hooks standard (2 at second row and 2 in cargo area)
with 3rd row seat option, however, only 2 coat hooks (at 2nd row)
-New parking brake grip with stitching
-Exterior Color Changes
-1D4-Titanium Metallic replaces 1F0 Silver Pine Metallic
-4R4-Savannah Metallic replaces 587 Dorado Gold Pearl
-8S6-Nautical Blue replaces 8R4 Blue Meridian Pearl
-6T7 Cypress Pearl is an addition for a 7th color

What's digital supposed to offer? Is that just mean calls will be made over a digital carrier instead of analog?

Hey Marshallp7 - Are these the only expected changes for the GX. Reason I ask is that the recent press release on the 4-Runner inidcates several styling changes for 2006. Any insight as to any additional changes for the GX or can we expect the 2006 GX relatively unchanged as you indicate above.

Changes for the GX
these are the only changes for the GX, even thought the 4-runner is on the same platform they are two completely different cars. ie. the highlander is still built on the old RX300 platform.

I don't believe that is correct, regarding the Highlander. I remember reading that the Highlander actually got the RX330 frame before the RX did.

The HilluxSurf is the counterpart of the 4Runner...the Prado is the counterpart of the GX470. All platforms share the engine and mechanicals; after that, they diverge paths.

they dont even share mechanicals completly... just similar platform, ie Prado platform was simplified for 4Runner. 4runner V8 is mechanically close to GX, but then it costs a lot too.
