Here is a review of the 2006 GX from New Car Test Drive.com. It sounds like just a revised 2004/5 review but it does list a few changes, mainly the Lexux Link option.

Thanks for sharing the link. Hmmm, looks like I'll be waiting at least one more model year. It would be nice to see some new options like parking assist, laser cruise control and a six speed transmission. Other than that, I love my GX.

Yeah, I have an 04. I'm good until the next new model year update. I don't think you're ever going to see Laser Cruise Control as the technology Lexus has been using is radar based. Pre Collision system in the GS, the new IS, and I believe the LS has the capabilities of Dynamic Cruise Control. But time will tell if Lexus can integrate items like this along with VDIM into an AWD system like the GX. There may be some mechanical challenges making such a feat possible. Though PCS probably won't be too hard, it might require the components of VDIM to function in the first place.

The RX330 has a Dynamic Laser Cruise Control option.

Yes, but they're not going to continue it. You might also notice that Laser is not really sold in northern areas mainly because road film, salt, sand, etc gets caught on the Laser sensor and causes the unit to shut down.

Lexus is switching to radar.

Oh, my wife thought Blue Meridian Pearl was beautiful. Guess we'll have to buy an 03-05 in order to get it. Any links available to see what Nautical Blue looks like?

Doesn't it have the 4G nav system yet?

I have a Blue Meridian Pearl and think it's one of the nicest vehicle colors I've seen. In the sun, it has small flecks of metallic looking blue in it, it's gorgeous.

Anybody know when the 06's will hit the lots? Unless it is soon it doesn't look like there are any changes really worth waiting for.

Default No Lexus Link

I spoke to a dealer, checked the Lexus web site, plus my buddy has signed for an 06 GX470. There doesn't seem to be any mention of Lexus Link.

The one thing I noticed on the specs page at lexus.com is the Tire Pressure monitoring system states Lexus Four Sensor Tire Pressure Monitoring System. I wondered if this meant the system could tell you which tire was low. I don't remember seeing it worded like that in previous years.

I see it, but as I said the dealers and the Lexus website seem to be unaware of it. When they starting shipping them, perhaps this will change. But the sales rep I spoke to specifically said no when asked about Lexus Link

Default Up to Region

When I got my original GX I was told that it was up to the regional manager to decide whether to get them with LL or not. In the NE region they got a lot with LL and I was "forced" to buy it even though I didn''t want it. In other regions it was apparently easier to get one without it. Perhaps what we are seeing is that Lexus is making it available but the "buyers" are not embracing (having been burned) and so the dealers dont know.

Just a thought

Has anyone seen the new nautical blue in person? The website illustration isn't worth much. Or does anyone have a good pic of one?
