allison, this is what u asked
ot these on yesterday, tell me what you think.....
So be prepared for it, especially the internet Actually, this is pretty calm compared to other forums (as others have statedf).
It is safe to say this forum is a JDM or polished alloy and forged forum, not a chrome/heavy wheel one. But to each his own and props to you for being one of the few GXs with rims.

I don't really have problems with the low profiles. With the 265/40s you still have almost 4 1/4" of sidewall (only down 2.6"). I am also used to driving with low profile tires. My old car was a small car and I had 18" wheels on that. And my boyfriend's GS has 18s (getting 20s today). Basically you have to watch where you're driving. If you want some nice rims and don't really want to sacrifice sidewall, you may want to look into 20s. There's a few GXs with nice 20s on them. You could get 20s on 265/50s and have almost 5 1/4" of sidewall. The one thing I miss the most is being able to drive it like a truck (ie - driving over curbs to get past the idiot on the road that goes all the way to the right to make a left turn). But, the stock wheels will go back on around October so I can make up for it then.

good resource for tire sizing and specs is www.1010tires.com . they have a tire size calculator section that gives you all points of comparison for 2 tires sizes.

guess i'm used to being on the GS forum. they're a lot more into aftermarket stuff from what i've seen.

i like the opinions good and bad. what i take offense to are comments like.... "unless you plan to lower it, add some neons underneath, some fuzzy dice, and a BIIIGGGG Hail Mary on the dash..." and "these rims are border line ghetto and pimpy. They belongs on a Cadillac Escalade." which are unnecessary. either way, i appreciate the info and hopefully i can add value for someone else.

Like any good surveys, anonymous are the best way to solicit the most honest opinions, why even ask if you can't handle the true?

Try survey other's opinion in person with those wheels, then you will find out the real definition of 'rude'. I bet you will get plenty of 'Those are nice wheels!', then follow with a evil grin.

This is the RIM that i like... i should be getting them soon... they are slightly costly compared to other rims... 20X9 bolt pattern is 6-5.5". fits nicely on GX's

Please tell me what ya'll think... be honest... i wouldn't think ya's being rude...

Thumbs up

I like I am a fan of the 5-star spokes with nice lip/dish. This would exactly be the rims that I would put when I get the GX. Would you know if there's 55 or 60 series tires for these? Please post pics when you have them on-I would reaaaaaly appreciate it

as i've said before, i'm not one for thin/delicate rims on a truck, but those are some of the nicer looking 5 stars i've seen. definitely post pics when you get them put on. btw.....what color is your gx?

I will say, the white/chrome and black accents of the tint and running boards has a nice look overall. Glad to see that 22's look nice and not out of place on the GX.
thanks.

and, for anyone that's looking at rims, the 22s on the gx are still a good ride. and, after seeing them on it in person, i'm really glad i didn't go for 20s.

I'm curious how it handles with those wheels and tires?

I love the stock tires for the rain & snow, but would love some crisp handling in the summer months.

Comments?

i think the handling is much better. less body roll (i have an early '04, so no kdss). i also drive in sport all the time. don't get me wrong, it is a bumpier ride b/c there's significantly less rubber, but cornering and general handling improvements more than compensate.
