Hi,

The GX uses an h11 bulb for the low beams, meaning that you would need to order an h11 HID conversion kit. Most people on this board go with a 4300k HID kit (color temperature) for the brightest, and most functional light output. The higher you go in terms of color temperature, the less actual useable light output you emit.

If you want the best, I would suggest going with the Xtreme HID kit w/ Philips capsules.

You would need to select the "H11" fitment.

Make sure to use coupon code "CL" upon checkout to save $25 on your order.

thanks for the quick reply. I'm most likely going to go with the 4300k HID kit because of the color. Is there a PDF or guide for install? Is it a DIY job (i'm not a DIY person per say) lol

I would also be more than happy to give you a call to discuss the installation - if you would like me to.

LEDs in the fog lights might be a better option.

LEDs in the fogs would be purely cosmetic (in my opinion).

Hope all is well redrocks!!

Depends on what you're after, that's why I asked.

If you want to color match your HIDs, yes a pnp LED would probably be a better and cheaper option. To use a pnp LED for a useable on/off road light source no way. The only way to get that would be to build you own high powered LED array or use a OEM array and do a fog light retro, which I doubt anyone here would care to do because of the time and cost but if I'm wrong here's a nice OEM BMW 650 LED fog light that you could use the guts from.
