If you can just point out the major benefits of your kit over the competition that would be great.
FlzRider,

Last year I purchased the Volt HID kits for Low & Fog lights. I also purchased some bargain HID kit at $49.99 for my wife's minivan. I won't say who the bargain HID kit was by, but I will say it was a disaster! I tried every combination on the wiring and could not get them working properly! The bargain kit was larger (ballast) and no where near as well made as the XenonDepot Volt kit. I have no doubt the Extreme kit is even nicer. Either way, Volt or Extreme, you'll get a great, worry-free deal. Why? Because Steve (XenonDepot) stands behinds his products and will assist you anyway he can!

2) UV quartz glass bulbs: Our HID bulbs use proper Philips uv-quartz glass. HID bulbs do not burn significantly hotter than halogen bulbs as they only operate on 35W vs 55W halogen. However, HID bulbs do emit more UV which can prematurely age your headlight. Lower grade HID bulbs do not use proper glass which will prematurely damage your housing.

3) AC vs DC ballasts: Many vendors use DC ballasts to power AC bulbs which will cause premature failure.

4) Low draw ballasts: Our ballasts only draw up to 6A on a cold start whereas other ballasts can draw 16-18A on a cold start

5) Legitimate warranty: Warranty is handled directly through us. We have been selling HID kits since 2001 and have been a supporting vendor on this forum alone since 2007. It's very easy to advertise a "gimmicky" lifetime warranty however following through with the warranty you offer is a completely different question. The company you specifically mention has their kits drop shipped directly from China. Warranty shipping charges are not covered if you need to send a component back to China for inspection.

6) Authorized Vendor: I'm not saying that you should buy from us just because we are a supporting vendor. I do however believe in supporting a vendor that offers quality products, good prices, and support whenever possible. I do this on the forums that I frequent on a personal basis.

Steve
Exactly the type of info I was looking for.

Thank you.

Hey Rok,

The best thing to do would be to send an email to sales@xenondepot.com with your order number and they could provide you with an order update =)

Just looked into it and you are correct. Xtreme ballasts are out until the end of the weeks. I'm really sorry for the delay.

Ahhh ***** I think I ordered the wrong one. I see there are two kits one with Philips and one without. Had I known I would've totally ordered the Philips one!

Facts are, the xenondepot kit doesnt ship with philips ballasts as i understand they no longer make them available. they supply with an aftermarket ballast of their own so the only diff is whether you pay more for the philips bulb or their bulb (cheaper). i misunderstood thinking they still have kit with all philips components like the OP. this is no longer true. i wish someone would've clarified for me based on my earlier posts.

so have any of you guys run the non-philips branded kit with the non-philips bulbs that xenondepot supplies? how's the color at 4300K?

To clarify:

1) We stopped using Philips ballasts in our HID kits several years ago. Philips ballasts are great ballasts however they are made for OEM HID applications. In OEM HID applications the ballasts are often mounted in areas that are better protected against the elements. Philips ballasts do have a water seal however they are not completely water tight.

Our Xtreme HID Kit ballasts are epoxy sealed and water tight as they are designed specifically for aftermarket HID applications such as this one.

2) Our Xtreme HID kit w/ Philips bulbs use true German made Philips bulbs (not asian bulbs made in "Philips Authorized" factories).
