Default Cheapest place to buy rear spoiler

Does any one here know where you can buy the rear spoiler cheap?

I went to the dealership and they want 705 bucks for the spiler and installation. So 550 for the spoiler and 150 labor.

There has got to be a cheaper price somewhere.

thanks

Default Spoiler

Check with Steve Ganz (SUPRATRD) at Carson Toyota. The spoiler comes pre-painted and includes a template for drilling and mounting. A body shop can probably install it pretty quickly.

I bought mine from irontoad.com and installed it myself. It was really easy, although a bit unnerving drilling into a $50K vehicle. I liked the OEM product much better than the cheaper spoiler I had gotten from spoilerdepot.com and sent back. Pay a little more for the OEM, you'll be glad you did

Go to Ebay. I got mine for $224.00, painted & shipped to my door. It is an aftermarket one, but works & fits perfect.

Installing aftermarket spoiler is great on saving. I have a question though, what is the best way to stop the LED tailight [stop from lighting up when foot on the brake] on the top of the rear hatch door when you installed a rear spoiler. What I am trying to says all I wanted is the spoiler light to come one when foot on the brake and the tailights.

Hi to all the GX owners!

Here I found a good place to order cheap spoiler: www.spoilerdepot.com
Go there and check it out! It's under Only $400 included paint and shipping.
They ship it to you right away in less than a week.

As I said earlier, the paint job from spoilerdepot.com wasn't OEM quality (had dirt in it). You also don't get the cover for the rear door brake light. Mounting didn't look as easy or good either. For the couple extra buck, go to irontoad.com and get OEM.

I brought a spoiler from spoilerdepot.com and I installed myself on my 00' Acura TL. Take a look...

I think it looks fine on TL, but I don't think it would be that bad if I order one for my GX.

But I'm sure that it would harder to drill holes because it's not a flat trunk sedan.

I have an OEM (dealer installed) spoiler for my GX and it comes with a cover/replacement for the tailgate brakelight, and a clear (as opposed to red) spoiler brakelight.

Spoiler depot sells all types of wings. A few have used them and are happy, but alot of times people just don't know better. (that's NOT meant as a slight towards anyone here) I looked at a spoielr from these guys once for my GS and it turns out the one they were selling was about 10% smaller than OEM...probably not noticeable until you put an OEM, or mine an RMM right next to it...what a difference. That alone had me set that they did not sell top quality parts...the paint is okay, but nowhere near the finish you get on the OEM Lexus part.

Lightbulb Surprised!

I'm really surprised after what Johnny Mo said.
Maybe my Acura was lucky.
So is it better not to buy the cheap one?
Should we take our GX back to dealers to get the best one?

Default Carson wont call me back

Tried to get a quote from Carson Toyota but no one can give me a call back with a price so the best one so far is MSRP from local dealership for 550.

Go to either lexus or Toyota and say, if I buy it here will you install it for free if not I'll buy it else where and have it installed at a bodyshop, my friends do it all the time and then you slip the tech who does it 20, Im willing to bet who ever installs that stuff does it daily and can do it in 20 minutes

I installed my own after market spoiler. I disconnected the light on the door, so only the spoiler light lights up. I have not been able to get a cover for the door light. I may just paint it the same color as the door.
