For those who have done this, if I am looking to do the CLD, CCF then MLV, are you removing the thick carpet insulation layer under the rear carpet and replacing it with the 3 layers?

Are there some good threads I can be directed to? My search results in the forum are quite lame.

When I pulled up carpet to do fuel pump change (not a normal way to do fuel pump) I added Killmat direct to metal body floor. Kilmat is fairly thick stuff, but you can probably do two layers without any height issues when reinstalling stuff. Did not remove the insulating pad stuff.
