GX 470 Factory Radio w/ Navigation
 

I purchased a used 2007 GX 470 that had an aftermarket touchscreen Tesla style radio installed. That radio starting to act up so I was going to replace it. After much research, I discovered that if you have a GX with navigation (which mine does) it is not recommended to put an after market radio in the vehicle. Then I decided to go the fractory radio route; I have purchased two GX factory radios on eBay (and returned both of them) but neither of them worked with the wiring in the vehicle. The wiring plugs in the radio unit were both slightly different from one another and neither could be connected to the vehicles wires. Does anyone know how many different radios they made with this model year? Also, is there a way for me to find out exactly which factory radio model I should purchase for this vehicle? Any help/insight is greatly appreciated.

Hmm interesting. I thought they were all plug n play. :dunno:

In this The Car Care Nut video he states you have to go by the number on the face plate (around the 10 minute mark in the video).

Lexus will make running changes during a model year. You will likely need to do a part number lookup by VIN in order to know which headunit to buy.
