Anyone done anything to protect their catalytic converter, shield or otherwise?

I was just talking to my service advisor and he was telling me that several GX's have been hit.
But mostly the thieves are cutting the resonator off, not the catalyst. Except for one thief who took the entire exhaust system (??)

Still not cheap to replace, but much cheaper than the cat.
