I have been on there. But there are many choices. I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on any of them.

If you have the Mark Levinson option, you'll want 8-ohm speakers and they're somewhat rare for cars.
Do a search here - there have been lots of discussions about replacements.

A few things to note for the ML system.
1) I reading that the ML systems have a xover network somewhere, not sure if it passive or active, need to investigate that more, my guess is its active type.
2) If # is true the new speakers should really match the same type, like replace a 1way with a 1way, etc. This so that the new speaker with xover does not goof around with the tuning of any existing xover stuff, although a active xover should really make no diff to a passive on a speaker.
3) Getting a 4ohm speaker is not a big deal, you can add a good 2ohm resistor in series to bring impedance into the 6ohm range (closer to 8, etc) and still get about the same sound. I use power resistors (usually in TO3 case) with a small heatsink to tune my home surround system when paralleling speakers.

As for speakers, MTX, Kicker, JBL, will all likely sound better than the old rotting stuff you have now.

Sorry for the delay. Thank you! I should of added this part: I just put in a Phoenix Android. I’ve been on Crutchfield and have gotten many things from them. Just that there are so many choices. In my younger dats this wouldn’t have been a problem. But I haven’t upgraded speakers in years.

But the PA system is just pre-amp output down to the ML amp, and there lies the issue. I am not sure if/how the ML amp can be swapped out. If I can replace it I will.

Kicker, JBL, Polk, and many others, are likely way better than the old OEM speakers. Remember that a little more sensitivity in the speaker can go a long way with sound.

Here's a pic of the 2ohm resistors with small finned heatsink I use to correct a 4ohm for use with 6 or 8ohm sensitive drive(amp) units. Yeah, it's wasting a little power, but on a 4ohm speaker it becomes more like a 6ohm, so an 8ohm drive will still push a little more current than on a 8ohm, so the speaker still gets enough power although that 2ohm is burning off some energy, etc. "make do" as they say w/o having to replace a bunch of stuff.

But on a ML system, if that amp has all the xover stuff in it, then the speakers should be 1ways (or free of a passive xover's, like if there's 3 wires going to a speaker it's likely one wire for low freq driver, one wire for the upper freq driver, and one "gnd", I use "gnd" lightly because I suspect the amp uses no grounded conductors to drive the speakers to avoid ground loops).

The tuning of the PA unit is a bit convoluted, but watch all the vids on u toob, w/ correct settings it works great.

BTW, where did you get your PA and did you install it?

I got it direct from PA and installed it myself. Only thing I added was a new back up camera.
