Passenger window won't operate

I've been trying to get my passenger front window to work since I purchased the 470 a couple of months ago. I originally though it was just needing to be re-programmed, however that has not fixed the issue.

The window will not roll down from the passenger switch or the master switch (motor doesn't make any noise either). I borrowed a buddy's working passenger switch and master switch and swapped out with mine...those didn't fix the issue either.

I have power going into the switch, but I do not show any voltage coming out when the switch is in up or down. I also checked the fuse, and it was not bad.

Anyone else have any idea?

Is there voltage at the motor? You should see +12v/-12v depending on the switch position.

Nope, none when switch is up, down, or off. Makes me think there is a break in a wire or a loose wire somewhere between the switch and motor.

Ughh. Check the wiring at the rubber boot where it goes from the door to the body. It undergoes a lot of flexing there.

Actually looked at those wires in the door today, didn't see anything that stood out. I also ran a continuity test on all the wires from the switch to the motor, from the master switch to the passenger switch, and from the fuse to the power wire on the switch. All of those were good

Next I tried running a wire from the fuse to the power wire on the switch and the window worked. So now I'm really confused. I've got continuity between the fuse and power switch, the fuse is good... but the window still won't work without jumping power over.

Can you have continuity, but still have a break in the wire somewhere?

At this point you're going to need a wiring diagram. There are some stickied at the top of the forum. If the windows aren't there, you can get a couple day subscription to TIS, Toyota's technical data website for not a lot of money.

Already looked that one up, haha. I've got power to the fuse and there's one power wire from the fuse to the window switch. There is continuity on that power wire, yet still no power at the switch.

I haven't seen anything else inline of that wire from the fuse to the switch.
