Default Navigation Headunit compatibility between model years

I have a 2003 Lexus GX 470 with Navigation. I wanted to know if it's possible to easily install the updated Navigation head units that come in the 2007-2009 models ?
If so....... I know that the 2007-2009 head units also have auxiliary connection capability and have features that are marginally better than the original units (better color, slightly improved navi graphics.

The feature that stands out to me is the auxiliary feature. Guys please chime in with whatever do's and don'ts I need to be on the lookout for.

Thanks

I know you didn't ask this but, How about looking at a GROM V-Line ..... Or a Tesla style 10" vertical screen https://www.phoenixautomotiveinc.com...-470-2003-2009 , etc. or install a non-nav head unit/HVAC, that way you can then install an aftermarket double din Nav/radio unit of your choice. Such as the JVC https://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWM...KW-M750BT.html Which is Android Auto/Apple carplay compatible.

I actually wondered this exact same thing. I have an '06 but was thinking about picking up a 07-09 screen possibly from someone doing a non-nav conversion but wasn't sure if it was plug-and-play. Following.
