Default what is the tire specs for you wheels?

Nice HREs what is the tire fitment on the HREs and do you get increased tire road noise with the 20s. I know handling has got to be better than stock.

How much are those puppies with wheels and tires?

Tony,

Thanks. 20x9.5 HRE 648R full polish with 295/45x20 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros!

Handling = Better!
Noise = not noticeable.

Hey Mac where did you get the tow hitch I thought I ordered GX with it but when it came it just had the wiring harness but not hitch. Did you buy it seperately and then install it?

How much does the HRE and tire combo run? Was the HRE custom ordered and made for the GX?

Tony,

The tow hitch was there when I bought the GX.

Yes, HREs are custome made for your vehicle. I'll PM you info on pricing.

Default Are you still going to do a write up review?

Are you still going to give us a review of the HRE wheel tire combo? How is the ride and handling now since you have had them for so long.

Im seriously thinking of doing the same combo next month is it still worth it to do this mod combo? any input is appreciated.

If you don't mind me asking, about how much did that empty your wallet?

I was gonna do HREs on my vette last summer, had the order placed, then when I realized I was paying $8k for wheels I was sick .

Are the SUV ones more reasonable?

Can anyone guide me as to how I get digital pics to a size of 100KB or less? I have an 04 GX470 with 22 inch Giovanna Abruzzos but can't post any pics cause they are all too large (says the site)

What OS are you using?

What megapixel are you shooting at (i.e. 1MP or 3MP or 5MP)?

If WinXP then right click on the picture file and click resize. Or use a photoeditor.

Size it to 640x480 (or smaller) and JPG compression of 8 or Medium. Then check the file size that should do it.

Yaro1,

Yes HREs are expensive, but in this case, IMO, you get what you pay for. I got a decent deal. I haven't seen any other GX w/HREs. If there are other out there....POST SOME PICS HERE!

Tony,

The ride quality did not deteriorate noticeably. After driving about 15k miles on the set, i'm still very happy. Road noise increased minimally and feel increased dramatically. I really couldn't be happier with the setup. I stuck to 20s because the GX is usually driven by my WIFE (sorry, just realized I got married since some of my older posts) so the 20s are perfect for us. Sidewall on the 295/45 Scorpions is large enough to "protect" the HREs. 22" wheels look great as well but one i've seen here had some problems with rubbing on the inside wheel well. I haven't had any issues at all. The only thing I wish HRE would provide is some sort of protection on the raw aluminum lip. Guam's weather is quite extreme and I'm having to polish the aluminim lips more than I'd hoped. Its just nice to know that I've got the only set of HREs on island and will probably be that way for a while. I've seen other wheels on the GX; spinners, other chrome wheels etc. They look nice too. Its all about personalizing your ride to your taste. HTH.
