Default Steering column squeak...

Is there a good way to lubricant the steering column mechanism that moves down and telescopes out when you turn on the vehicle?

I'd like to know this as well. This seems to be prominent only during the wamer months.

I've wondered the same. Maybe a silicate spray on the outer casing of the column. I only have the issue when the truck has been sitting outside in the Houston heat. Will be trying a Teflon spray soon.

I got the steer column mostly apart enough to see the two mechanisms that move the steering wheel. There is a small thing metal piece that spins like a truck drive rod (which moves the unit down) and a thick piston type thing that pushes it out. I was able to spray some WD40 into/onto both. I think you need a liquid like that to reach the area with a nozzle straw. It seems to have worked so far.
