Default Windows Wont Work?

yr 2006. changed the battery, now the windows will not work from driver's door controls (except driver's window). the other windows do work from each door control, and the small green light in each window switch blinks on/off slowly. window lockout button is in unlocked position.

how to fix? is there a secret menu or something to go through after changing the battery?

You need to lower each window one at a time by actually holding the switch (not auto up/down) and then raise the window up. You need to do this in the following order (on the switch on each actual door, not the master panel)...driver's, front passenger's, rear passenger's, rear driver's. I may have mixed up the last two, but you will be able to tell since the switches won't work unless done in the proper order...hope this helps! BTW, you need to do this every time the battery is disconnected for more than 5 minutes, for future reference.

That is such a pain, why in heaven would they program it like that? Why not jump through a few hoops and stand on your head with 1 finger up your ****.

Sorry for helping, and it sounds like you did what I said anyway...I'll be sure to not help in the future.

you guys have to do it in a certain order? this question is asked a lot in the 3GS forum and basically you have to relearn all the windows again by just going to each window and rolling it down then back up. doing that should let it work from the drivers door panel switches. if you have a moonroof, you'll have to reprogram that too for one touch open and close.
