GX Door Mirror ( Outside ) Automatically Folding
Just Curious could somebody tell me since which Model of GX did the Automatic Folding of Door Mirrors which are the outside of the Driver Side side and Passenger Side get evolved. As I saw one GX yesterday at the JC Penney's parking lot after s/w off the door mirrors folded. Just Curious if this is just a motor which can be moded on the 04s or has anybody done this.

Nopes, This person with his family while they were parking, and as he shut his engine off, and supposedly removed his key and while all of them were getting out the mirrors started to fold automatically. I never saw him touch the outside mirrors at all. I had a good look at the car and waited till he came back from shopping around 15 minutes while I sipped a coffee, Yep as he went to his car shut the door, And I presume he was inserting the keys the Mirrors unfolded.. Strange. !! I just wanted to ask Booyah if he reads this email, does he have this feature. To me this GX did look at least 2008 model. By the look at the tail lamp.

Capi the feature is a std OEM on LS430 from 05 models I assume. But I just want to know from other members whether this feature is available as an option for the GX newer models ( 08/09). Maybe somebody reading would reply it.

It is not the mirrors I have been talking, it is about the Mirror housing which comletely folds & unfolds. I did look at the shape, it is exactly the same size and shape what other GX models have. I hope to see him next time and ask him on his face.

yeah, i think so could have been those prado fitted mirrors housing which have the motors, to retract. I had a closer look at the housing, not a dime did it looked different. I am trying to source this unit from outside of US, hope to get one and had a check the wiring diagram, it is interlocked with the Ignition ECM. where the GX i had a look and there is a slot for the harness to get connected. So the activation is from the ECM all one needs to get the unit fitted.
