^ IIRC, 168 and 194 bulbs are interchangeable. 168 are brighter than 194.

The 194's are everywhere. Door panel, running boards, license plate lights, front running lights, etc.

just not the dome light inside the car. I think they are 31mm festoon except for the very front, they are something different. I think the front are ba9s.

I put the leds in the license plate lamps as well (kind of a PITA to remove the entire rear door panel to get to 'em). I also did 2 panels for the center dome (not a 194-different type), and ordered 1 more for the rear. The front two are going to be a little more tricky...
Here are the ones I used for the non-rear DVD, but WITH rear audio dome:

I'm sorry you removed the rear door panel, but that was not necessary. The clear lens that covers the bulb is removable from outside. That's how I did it. Should've searched the forum. Only the back up lights require removal of back door panel.

Exactly. They are 31mm festoon bulbs if I remember right.

When I used to have my running boards, I replaced the lights with Philips LED. I think I ordered them through HomeDepot online. Very white (no blue) and bright. Also replaced the license plate light with Philips LED.
The interior lights were all replaced with LED but I bought them from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS because Philips didn't make the right ones.

I had mixed luck with getting LED lights from Amazon.... some were too blue and some didn't last very long.

I just did the same with some 194 LED's I bought on eBay and what a difference from the OEM lights. It really does update the look and makes my first generation GX not look so old!
