i would like to know if any one has installed subs in there gx if so can you please tell how/> if you just tapped into the rear factory sub or you went thru the navi head unit and were did you power the new sub from

I would go with a high level input converter and tap into that sub somehow. Have you ever gone to:

I have used both as sources of info and places to buy parts like carpet....

you'll need a hi/lo converter, wiring kit, amp, and a sub... it'd be best to take it to a stereo shop and have them do it. i put a Kicker 12" sub with Fosgate amp in addition to the ML system... must say it's nice not having to push the stock sub anymore. i actually had to turn down the bass with the kicker!
