Doc.....

The only thing negative will be your wallet, unless there are addresses in the new version that are not in your current disk. Of course, there will be new addresses, but maybe addresses that you will never use.

I for one, will wait until someone can check out an address for me that is not in my current (latest) disk.

Thanks for your thoughts. Have you installed any Nav updates in your GX in the past? Was it easy enough to do?

Doc.....

Yes, I have installed NAV updates in the past. It's as easy as changing CDs or DVD's on your computer.

The Nav disc in the 06 GX is generation 4 version 5.1. Is this the one you want? I just ordered the newest update version 6.1 which was just released by Sewell Lexus' parts department for $299 or so. If you are interested in buying the verison 5.1 let me know and what you think is a fair price to pay for it.

Hey DOCS.....

The disks for the NAVs in the '03 and '04 are different than in the '05 and '06.

In your case, DO NOT use a '06 disk in a '04.

That is funny, I was just trying to figure out if they were compatible, thanks for letting me know, I appreciate the info, so technically I need a gen 3 2006 map update (in this case I can wait till new software is at the dealer for sure)

Thanks, I didn't know this. Thanks for eliminating any confusion and possible future disappointments.
