Saturday as I was driving out of the garage and hit a bump, the rear end felt as if it was hopping.
I proceeded on the Turnpik and was almost whiplashed by the severity of the hop on bumps
I immediately called the dealer and he suggested that I bring it right in.
It was extremely painful drining to the dealer this afternoon.
Has anyone had this experience and what was the cause and fix?
Have you checked the air in the tires? New cars almost always come with too much air in the tires, making them ride harder. I've had new cars where the recommendation was 30 PSI and they came with 40 PSI. Warm weather also raises the PSI a bit.
I don't like taking mine all the way down to the PSI on the sticker on the door jamb; I usually run a couple of pounds over that. But 40 is way too high!
Was the rear suspension really low? That could mean the air suspension is leaking. If thats not the case, then it is probably the suspension sensors like someone said earlier.
