I have a 2006 GX470 and the passengers front window would only roll down. I dropped it off at the dealer and they said driver's master window switch was bad and quoted $1300 for a new Lexus part and labor. I said no, so I went online and found a replacement for $51 so I ordered it. I then decided to reset all the windows after speaking to an ex-Lexus service advisors. After that, all the windows worked normally but not the passengers front. It was down and would not roll up. I was unable to find a new or used one online, so I decided to take it apart and to see how it work and maybe determine what was wrong.
After removing it from the door, unplugging it, and disassembling the switch into its various components. I deteremine as you move the switch, there were 4 small nylon pins that moved and made contact with the positive and negative on the circuit board to power the motor. There are two pins for the up and two for the down. All the pins moved but one for the up power so i checked why that happened. On the bottom of the switch, the extremely tiny part that pushed the pin was gone. So I added a small amount of hot glue on the underside of the switch that was missing then let it harden. Now it would move the small nylon pin like the other 3. Upon reassembly, the window now rolls up! FIXED!!
Here is the switch but I was not able to remove the rocker switch element. I had to separate the larger black section from the white section, remove the circut board to see how it powered the motor. Under that were the 4 small nylon pins the rocker moved that contacted the positive and negative elements on the circuit board to power the motor. Sorry I didn't take pictures but you the idea hopefully.
I normally recommend OEM parts only, but for the non-driver's window switches I think you'd be OK with the Chinese copies. The fit might be a little loose, the colors may not a be 100% match, but you'll save money.
