Default Zero acceleration when pushing the pedal down

My accelerator pedal stopped responding. I get zero RPM increase when pushing the pedal all the way to the floor.
I checked the ETCS fuse and it was fine. Idle is fine. No acceleration or performance issues prior. No CEL. I dont have a scanner so not able to check any codes.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Check the wiring to your throttle body...maybe rodent damage or something? Harness possibly came unplugged?

No such luck. Everything looks well connected and intact with the wires and connections.

Try doing a computer reset. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, wait about 2 minutes, then reconnect with a minimum of sparks (if possible).

You will need to reset the auto-windows, etc. (see sticky about resetting power windows at top of the forum) afterwards.

No luck with the neg bat disconnect reset either. I disconnected it last night and left it over night. Still had the problem this morning.

I think you're going to have to get the codes read. Could be anything from the throttle position sensor to the throttle body actuator, to a transmission solenoid.

A generic reader (like AutoZone uses) should be able to identify those, as they're in the common OBD-II spec. But be prepared to step up to a Toyota/Lexus-specific reader.

Maybe the throttle position sensor at the pedal is bad or loose connection?

Update: Turns out it was my throttle response controller malfunctioning that caused this issue.

That's an important detail that was left out of your original post. Glad you got it figured out!
