Question 2009 GS350 AWD hitch install can it be done ?

Hello,

i own a 2009 Lexus GS350 AWD Ultra pk.

I know there is hitches available for the GS but has anyone used the hitch on the GS to tow a trailer that can hold up to a yard of top soil or any soil ?? I worried about the drive train and weight all be towing. Please help all input will be very helpful

I've towed 3 Honda ruckus with my 08 gs350 awd. each one weighing at a little over 250lbs.

just center the weight to keep more of it towards the center of the trailer where the axles are and you shouldn't have to much trouble.

Ive had this same hitch on my is250 and my 08 GS350 AWD. Tow whatever you want the GS can handle it. On my IS I loaded the thing up with bricks and plywood one time and that pulled it with no issues.

The trailer is used is a 5x8 single axle

Theres only two companies that make hitches for GS's and thats Curt and Hidden Hitch, and only comes in class 1 on ebay they sell for $150 shipped.

The one I have is a Curt and it fit perfect and easy to install and very high quality

I agree with ibidu1. I have the same hitch by Curtis and it is of very high quality. It is indeed a Class 1 hitch but for the transmission's sake I wouldn't overburden it without an auxiliary transmission cooler. This is probably unnecessary but if you consistently haul heavy loads it is something to consider. I have the same trailer as ibidu1 as well, a 5 x 8 and it works flawlessly. Here is a link, hopefully it will work:
