Sup all,

What color should I paint the calipers on my smokey granite mica gs? Car has stock wheels and tinted windows. I'm thinking blue might look good with f sport or lexus decals on the front calipers. The blue that I'm thinking is the same blue that is on the f sport sways and springs.

Thoughts?

And, red is not an option for me.

I'd go with F-sport blue. That's what I'm planning on going to.

stock brakes = black. no need to draw attention to stock imo

Blue, I had it done on my 3GS came out great, although I went with the F-sport color cause I had F-sport stuff on my car. I also tried the black paint first before I went with blue.

I like the look of the blue still AND my car does have f sport suspension....It just black and silver are freaking boring on an already otherwise normal plain looking car.

How about gold? Like the Brembos. I'm not trying to pose like I have a big brake kit. Just trying to give the car a different look from all the other 3gs on the road.

thx for the link...now you just made my decision harder

I'm thinking black with silver lexus decal...or pewter (almost the same color as the unpainted caliper) with black decals.

Do you guys put decals on front and back calipers? I was thinking maybe just the fronts for the decals.

Many have done black, I would find a unique color that blends well with your color.

Decals only for the front the rears are too small for a sticker, some have done it but inmo looks odd to me.

for the rear you can always do the L logo

inferno orange, yellow, red (matches tails), brighter colors compliment darker cars

I went with blue on my SGM GS350. Looks great. I have had people ask if they were upgraded brakes since the fronts are so large already. No need to go BBK when we already have something close on our cars already. Also, I put the "Lexus" in white on the fronts and just a "L" logo on the rears.

I agree about the brakes. These cars have excellent stopping power from the factory IMO. I could never justify spending the money for the f sport brakes. I would upgrade the pads if anything for more stopping power.

I don't have any recent pics showing the brake calipers. Was planning on taking some this weekend. I'll post them up here when I do.
