Default F-sport Springs on a GS460????

I have searched, so no flames please... has anyone done this on a 460? I have the Active Suspension system, but while related, I don't believe one makes the other incompatible, right? Can someone confirm? The GS430's also had avaialble AS, however, the Tanabe site shows their NF210's as compatible.... would prefer F-sport, but don't want another sway bar issue... any confirmations or denials???

See - that's what I thought too...but the Sewell site shows non-compatibility, however, the Lexus site says it is compatible with the GS460 and doesn't list an exclusion.... I am confused - don't the GS460's come standard with AS?

They should be fine. I think the F-sport program doesn't recommend much outside the GS 350s b/c the 350 like the IS 350 is the focus for the F-sport parts. So most all of the R&D was done on 350 GSs. Surely the springs fit fine but I am assuming Lexus didn't do much research on it for whatever reason. The GS 460 is heavier but looking at specs not much heavier than the 430.

So it should be fine.

So, I'm resurrecting this and being told by the dealers NOT to do this as it won't work... I don't understand why that would be... could lowering the vehicle put more stress on the AS? Is the fitment the same? I hear that it works, but I heard the same thing about the sways, which are still NOT working and Lexus has now divorced themselves of any responsibility to help resolve the problem...I am looking to do wheels and I think 19's will look BAD if the car isn't lowered....HELP!!!!

Since Lexus won't stand behind them, you might as well get the Tanabe NFs. About the same price and a good 1" drop.

As for sways, TOMs offers some as well but around $500.

Lexus won't stand behind the sways, I haven't attempted the springs yet... the corporate Lex site shows the Fsport springs are compatible, but the Fsport site just says 350 RWD. I find that odd...

I have had the Tanabe on my old GS300 '06 and liked them, but their site does NOT show 2008 460 compatibility either.

It's just making me nervous! Are the part numbers the same for the OEM springs 350 versus 460?

Interesting that there is no GS460 application on the Eibach website, which may be where they get them.

why not call up lexus corp and get an answer from them, or talk to another dealership that's more helpful. the sways i can't really help, coz' indeed from the table it's not applicable for 460. but the springs if they say it's ok for 460, then you should get confirmation

putting any springs will put more stress on the stock shocks, that's just a fact no matter what springs they are. but again, the AS is nothing but a little **** at the top of the shock to adjust the dampening, i don't see how springs will affect that

On the phone with them now... my confidence is not inspired, because the CSR was only VAGUELY (and I'm being generous) aware that the Fsport line was available, let alone for the GS.

This doesn't inspire confidence in her ultimate response, although I could always (and might) insist they forward to a regional specialist...

Transferred to regional: They were thankful that I noted the inconsistency of the information on the two sites and will get back to me ASAP, in light of the expiring coupon.

My thoughts exactly... somebody isn't talking to somebody else at Lexus, and a third somebody posted the information to their websites. The CSR came back and indicated that she's leaning to yes, but also has conflicting information. We're off to the races - LMAO
