Default I need a new Grill, HELP?

I'm having the front clip painted and replacing the grill. I want something different, but not sure what. I would like something the still has the L on it. I kinda like the Rod Millen grill.

Suggestions? Pics?

Thanks

I took a bunch of grill pictures during our recent Maggie Valley meet when I noticed we had a decent selection of different varieties. Here are a few to browse through...

I'm going to guess what brand they are... Owners please let me know if I'm wrong & others can add pics of other grills (close to the same type picture if possible so we can put together a definitive list! ).

1) Stock GS430

2) Blacked out GS400 Grill (the 'anti-bling' grill)

3) Rod Millen (RMM) Grill

4) Toyota Racing Division (TRD) Carbon Fiber finish Grill with added Lexus 'L'

5) I think this is another RMM Grill with different mesh. Mumbles?

6) L-tuned Grill (Lexus)

Hey I happen to like all of those grills besides the the first two stock ones.

How could I get a hold of one and what are the prices? Are they easy to install, Ive never looked how there cliped or bolted on, so what tools would I need?

Thanks a ton!

They're bolted in from the back. I recall it's four bolts, 10mm?

Steve Ganz (carson toyota www.l-tunedparts.com) can get the TRD and L-tuned grills, not sure if he also carries the RMM.

One of the least expensive ways is to watch the ClubLexus Marketplace, the classified section where members sell these things all the time.

I think I'm going with the RMM Grill.

Default RMM Grill is beautiful!!

I've had the RMM grill for about 3 or more years now and I love it.. Never even crossed my mind to change it. My opinion is that you should go with the RMM grill, it just gives the car a better look and I like the RMM the best out of all but that's just me. Here's a pic of how it looks on my car..

Good luck with your new grill

a few members on CL had fitment issues with RMM grill. L-Tuned and TRD grills are said to fit the best. I have the L-Sportline grill myself. It fits very nicely, no gap like what some members have with RMM. But I've never seen RMM in person so I don't know how bad it is. Judging from the pictures, the gap between the hood and the grill is pretty visible.

Which grill has DOUBLE BAR going across? It looks like the L-tuned grill but instead of one bar going across it has two. Is it blitz? In the gallery there is a white GS with that grill and it looks SICK !

I just ordered the RMM. I sure hope it fits ok.

LEXMATIC, did you have fit issues?

Default RMM Grill

I am also debating on which grill to order. I am leaning towards the RMM grill as I like the clean look but I would still like to maintain the "L" presence on the front. I spoke with the people at RMM to find out about the fit and quality issues of their product vs L-Tuned for example. They said that the only issues one might have is because during the install of the mesh backing people sometimes try to force the hole for the screws to fit in without trimming the mesh for a better placement. One question that I didn't ask and I am wondering if anybody with the RMM grill would respond. Is the "L" badge a moulded part of the middle crossbar or is it simply attached with two way tape after the grill is painted and installed. If it is just two way tape I may consider the L-tuned grill (supposedly a better fit) and add the emblem in similair fashion. Any thoughts?

SPORTS, Take a look at pic #3 up top, I think you'll have your answer. I wondered the same thing about the "L"
