Default First time putting my car on the track

Went to the track in Reynolds, Ga yesterday and decided to put my car on the track for the first time. This was also my first time ever driving on a track and it turned out to be a lot of fun.

My best time was 14.635 @ 95.73 mph.

I think the old girl did pretty well seeing she now has 155000 miles.
I was racing running with my friend (right lane) who has an 06 civic si w/ comptech sc plus lots of other exhaust, intake, and ecu mods.

Here is the timeslip.

I would think our motors would open up more on the high end, but seems like the civic was doing better on top.
All my times were always like that. The other car had a faster trap, but I would still win with a faster ET.
Now get those headers and drop another .3sec or so.
How was your lanching? any traction problems? what wheels did you use? Got LSD? All these mods will make the ET drop.
Nice runs

Our top end sucks ***** to be honest (ok maybe not as bad). the 1uz-fe is more of a midrange engine than anything.

And those pesky Hondas are always great when it comes to trap speed. Top end power + awesome gearing =

Nice runs
I am running 18" wheels and only lost traction on the third run (didn't bother to post that slip.) Stock diff. The first run I didn't load the car but I did on the second. My friend's civic dyno'd at about 230hp and was 1k lbs lighter than I was so I really didnt expect to win. Had a lot of fun though.

If you can get your 60's ft down to a 2.1 or something you can run faster. but times look consistent.

I disagree, our top end is a beast, that is when I pull on many cars (at speeds that are clearly illegal).

Maintrain, hit me up next time!! And that is the drag strip, not the track

damm thats a decent time always wondered what the V8's ran.

my GS300 managed a 15.6@91mph but thats stock with half tank of fuel and nudging limiter in 3rd... so maybe 15.5 but just good to see it as a base run before mods.

Got it. Have you released the pictures or your ride yet? Is seloc going to be at the STRIP anytime soon?

SELOC was just at the strip......There was only 3 Lexs there! For my first time I was kinda sad!

here's my run! best time was 14.1 @ 97mph. Just installed my PI TC so I'm thinking I could hit 13.8-13.9!

I'll do it. Did you notice a big difference in acceleration after installing your lsd?

Damn, that's not that bad of a run for a GS with that mileage. Good job!
